Lost at Christmas?

It’s finally here. The season has come, the snow is falling, and the hot cocoa has never smelled more enticing. With all this wonderful cheer comes something we all love, gifts, and gifting. It can be so fun to give and receive gifts, the only two downsides to this is: 1. What to get, and 2. Money. But don’t worry, this year you aren’t alone. Here are my ideas for cheap-fun Christmas gifts for everyone in your life!

Let’s get started with a simple and easy gift. Gift cards. These are probably the most common gifts in our current day and age, but they aren’t that fun. Gift cards work for almost everyone because everyone loves money. But aren’t they boring? I think so. BUT here is the solution! Something simple and cute to go along with the card makes it feel bigger, and better. The thing I love when I get gift cards is the package. Nothing is more important than the presentation of your gift. Packaging a gift card should fit what it's for. Got a Starbucks gift card? Put it in an empty Starbucks cup with some candy, and there you go. Your gift card is 420% cuter. You’re welcome.

My second idea needs a bit more research on the gifters part, but it’s always a hit. Merch items/clothing from the gift receivers favorite tv show or artist. I love getting merch from my favorite shows. Just recently my friends got me some clothing from Avatar the Last Airbender, and Naruto. I LOVE IT! Some great stores to get items along their favorite tv shows/artist are Hot Topic, and Box Lunch, but if you are in a quarantine like most of us, amazon will work just fine. “But how do i ask what they like without sounding sus?” Well sir, here are some easy ways to learn more about a person without being obvious in terms of gifting. Ask them questions like “what show should i watch on Netflix” and “What music should i listen to” They will most definitely tell you what they love, and from there search the show/artist they like and put “merch” after it on amazon. An entire plethora of stuff they will absolutely LOVE will pop right up!

For my third and final idea, I chose something harder, but better to gift. Something heartfelt and nostalgic. Getting something from your past, or something that makes you smile is the best feeling. Listen closely, if they mention a funny story or experience involving some random object or even just including one, get it. It might take them a second to understand, but once they do, they will love it. Take Jim from the office, do you remember what he got Pam for secret Santa? Do that, it’s perfect.

To close I wanted to include a final questions and answer, wHaT iF iM bRoKe?!?!?

Simple answer: a card. Write letters, just show people you love them. Love is what Christmas is all about. Although gifts are great, feeling loved is better. Make sure your friends and family know that you love them(if you do). With that said, PEACH OUT.
