Want your room to feel more vintage? Don’t want to spend tons of $$ on decorations?
You're in the right place!
#1 Records!
Records hung on walls or even alongside a record player fits this vibe!
I would recommend buying warped records from a thrift store, they're usually super cheap! I found some from a local thrift store for only 30 cents a record.
Record stores normally have $1, or $5 bins that are totally worth looking through- more often than not you can find great deals on popular and underground favorites.
#2 Posters!
Vintage Band Posters are the way to go! I found some on Pinterest, printed them out in different sizes, and stuck them to my wall.
You can also find bigger posters on Ebay, Amazon or any online store!
#3 Plants!
Plants have really been the trend lately! I love having plants in my room because they provide oxygen, and make the air cleaner!
If you want a bunch of plants but don't want the hassle of watering and taking care of them? Buy fake ones! They've got the same look, but you'll never have to take care of them again!
We stan a plant mom!
Find old Jars or vases at your local thrift store, and put some flowers or plant your new plant in them for a unique and beautiful feature
#4 Lights!
I bet many of you have seen the tik tok trend of placing LED lights around your room! These lights are easy to use, they look cool, and they bring a psychedelic effect.
Fairy Lights! I have these all around my room, they're are fun and super cute to style near posters, plants, or really anywhere you'd like a little extra flare.
Bulb/white Christmas lights! These lights are a great addition for brightening dark areas, and creating a warm glow in your room! Hang these on your walls and drape them on your ceilings for a stunning look!
#5 Vintage Furniture!
I personally love finding old furniture, updating it, and making it look more me!
Find an old side table, or even a cute wooden bowl to put keys or jewelry in!
Old vintage frames are also cute, and are even fun to hang without pictures in them!
Mirrors! Mirrors at your local home store are a lot of $$!! Find some mirrors of all sizes, put them on the floor with a plant, then add some lights alongside it, or simply hang it on the wall.
Pillows! Vintage pillows might fit the '70s vibe you're looking for in your room! Buy a bunch of random colors, patterns, and washes; then place them on your bed. You may even find a cute blanket that will fully complete the look you're going for.
#6 Incense or Essential Oils!
I love when my room smells really good! Incense is a very cheap option, and burners are fairly easy to come across in thrift stores, or even the dollar store!
Essential oils are another great alternative! They can be used in diffusers, and many different things. You can buy a singular bottle from amazon, and purchase your favorite scents as well!
#7 Record Player & Your Favorite Records!
I love listening to music in my room and jamming out to it with friends! You can find record players at Thrift stores, record stores, purchase one on Amazon, or other online stores!
Visit your local record store and find your favorites. That way you can enjoy listening to your favorite music, in a different way while in your room! Better yet, you and your friends can have a dance party with all of your favorite songs!
#8 Your Instruments!
Last but not least, instruments can be a great addition to your vintage room.
Make a cute little corner or hang up your instrument you're either learning to play or know how to play!
Put a cute side table with maybe your notes or books you're learning from, and some plants, (placing your instrument next to it of course!)
