I'm Feelin' Those Good Vibrations

To Frank, being a musician means far more than simply laying down a beat, and finding some rhyming words to accompany it. Going under the artist name, Vibropath, he creates and produces all of his own music from his bedroom in Rochester, New York.

Starting his musical journey in the fourth grade, many of Vibropath’s roots lie in punk rock, and alternative music. By the time he was in sixth grade, he was ready to start a band.
“I told all my little 6th grade friends, let’s start a band! And so I got a guitar for Christmas, and none of them followed through. So I was like, screw that, I’m going to start taking lessons and figure it out myself.”
Although many of Vibropath’s roots sprout from Punk music, as he began studying in college, he gained a liking for something a bit more introspective, Indie music. “When i got to college, i started to feel a little more introspective,” Vibropath said, “I think that style of music… it just makes you think about things.. it’s a little more thoughtful.”
With a newfound interest in this type of music, and the same old desire to create this type of art, Vibropath started on his journey as a solo artist.

3027, the first song released by Vibropath this year, is surprisingly about the place where it was written, “3027, which is the first one i released this year, is about the house that I live in....” Vibropath explained, “I’m leaving here in August- I’ve lived in this place for like, 4 years- and i went through so many experiences here.”
As a Nursing student, much of Frank’s time is dedicated to studying, but what’s left of it, usually goes into music, origami and interestingly enough, his past hobby of creating lyric videos.
Back in 2009, or when he was in sixth grade, Vibropath created a lyric video for the Linkin Park song, "Bleed it out", which collected more than 23 million views… so if you have yet to hear Vibropath’s music, you may recognize his art in its initial form.
Currently, he is hoping to produce an EP, (Which we are very excited about!), but writing and recording everything solo can take months at a time in between classes.

To the average listener, it would not be obvious that many of Vibropath’s signature effects are achieved through DIY methods.
“Sometimes when I record my vocals- well- my closet doesn’t really work well for dampening, so I’ll put my chair on my bed, and throw all my clothes on it and put my mic there”
This effect can be noted within his most recent song, “Drenched”. When elaborating on the meaning of this piece, Vibropath explained it more as an abstract concept, rather than a personal experience.
“Drenched is more abstract… like the idea that one day you just leave the world, and you are forgotten. It’s hard to be remembered… like sort of a philosophical thing.”
Looking for some dream-like music that makes you feel like the main character of a coming of age film, Vibropath's disography hits that head on.
